Tell us a little about yourself.
i’m hannah soboroff shargal! mom to three boys, founder of eema studio, and wife to the best guy on earth 🙂
How did you get inspired for your nursery design?
i’ve always loved interior design, but it wasn’t until i had my own kids that i decided to take a leap and make it my focus. designing my boys spaces was my aha moment — so i launched eema! an interior design and nesting studio for children’s spaces.
What are your most-loved items in your nursery?
all things vintage. sourcing vintage is a real thrill! so much time and effort go into the process, so i find that these pieces are the ones that spark the most joy.
If you had to pack a hospital bag again, what top three items would you take?
robe, eye mask and an extra long iphone charger.
What postpartum products helped you to recover? (Teas, broths, bath products, books…)
osea malibu skin care, canyon coffee and warm showers.
What products for babes work so well that you use on yourself?
What are your favorite mama and babe personal care products? (Bath, skincare, haircare, sun care, makeup, grooming…)
for me: osea malibu for skincare, saie beauty for makeup and ambre blends for organic pure essence oils.
for baby: badger the best sunscreen, diaper cream and baby oil. we also love coterie diapers/wipes and ecos laundry detergent.
Where do you shop for babes? (Skincare, healing, clothing, toys, food, vitamins…)
mostly online! i love merci milo and nido box for toys, coterie for diapering needs and vintage for clothes, along with roux of course!
What is a no-fail activity that your babes love?
cooking together!
Do you have a go-to recipe that your babes devour?
pancakes by barrett prendergast, simple pasta by marcella hazan and fudgy brownies by sweet laurel.
What is a recent thing your babe(s) did or said that made you laugh?
my 3 year old is in a phase where he only calls me by my first and last name. so in the middle of the night we’ll hear him shout “HANNAH SHARGAL!!!?!”. sometimes it’s “mom shargal”, which is also the best ever.
The usual questions about how to find work/parenting/life balance feel overwhelming. What are some small ways that you find balance?
going on solo walks, connecting with friends and saying no to things!
How do you unwind at the end of the day?
faceplant into my pillow waaay too early!!!
Your babe(s) magically disappear for the day. Describe your ideal Me Time day.
having a cup of coffee in silence and a solo trip to the flea market.
Do you have support resources to recommend to fellow parents? (Books, websites, podcasts, meditations, apps, at-home exercise classes, parent groups…)
